Resonate Communication and Engagement was founded by Kylie Cooper, Bachelor of Communication, Member of the Engagement Institute (formerly IAP2 Australasia), on the belief that communication is most powerful when it resonates.
Kylie brings more than 13 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic communication, and project delivery across government, infrastructure, manufacturing, education and corporate sectors.
Before launching Resonate, Kylie played key roles in projects like the award-winning Revitalising Newcastle project, where she served as Senior Community Engagement Officer for the Newcastle Light Rail during construction, led community engagement for Transport for NSW on the Wickham Interchange, and contributed to the REF for the light rail and the repurposing of Newcastle Station while at GHD. This integrated program was recognised with the 2019 Premier’s Award for Building a Strong Economy.
Throughout her career, Kylie has worked with organisations including Transport for NSW, Roads and Maritime Services, Newcastle Airport and Orica, supporting major infrastructure projects, stakeholder engagement, compulsory property acquisition, land access negotiation, internal communication and reputation rebuilding.
Now, through Resonate, she channels this experience to help organisations deliver communication that builds relationships, supports compliance and strengthens social licence.
Our mission is to help create better outcomes for both organisations and the communities they serve. We assist clients in delivering strategic communication and inclusive engagement that earns trust, reduces risk and respects the value of community insight.
We are a member of the Engagement Institute (formerly IAP2 Australasia). Our work is grounded in evidence-based frameworks and tailored to the operational and stakeholder context to ensure communication supports participation at whatever level the project allows.
We also partner with agencies and consultancies who need senior-level support for short-term project delivery, overflow capacity or seamless collaboration. Resonate offers trusted experience with the flexibility and professionalism you’d expect from an embedded team member.
